Getting started

Set up Orbit Marketing in a few minutes

Thanks for your purchase. Follow these steps to install Orbit Marketing, activate your license, and get your customers in. Your contacts and content stay on your Mac: local-first, by design.

    Download for your platform

    Use the download link from your purchase email. Orbit Marketing runs on macOS and Windows: one universal download for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, and a 64-bit installer for Windows 10 and 11.

    The Downloads page always shows the current status for each platform.

    Install the app

    On a Mac, Orbit Marketing is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized, so it opens without a security warning. The Windows installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows does warn once. The full step-by-step (with screenshots of the exact buttons) is on the Downloads page. In short:

    • macOS: open the .dmg and drag Orbit Marketing to Applications. Because the app is notarized, it opens straight away.
    • Windows: run the .exe. At the “Windows protected your PC” screen click More info, then Run anyway.
    • Android (when available): enable “Install unknown apps”, then open the .apk.

    Paste your license key

    On first launch, Orbit Marketing asks for your license key. Copy it from your purchase email and paste it in. Your key is tied to your email and works on up to two of your devices. No internet connection is needed to activate.

    Tell it about your business

    Fill in what you sell, your price range, where you sell and who you sell to. You can point it at your website or upload a company profile and let it read the details out for you to check. This one profile is what every post, sale page, email and article is written from, so getting it right once makes everything after it sound like you. You can change any of it later in Settings.

    Bring in your customers and connect a channel

    Already keep customers in a spreadsheet? Go to Customers → Import CSV to bring them in; name, phone, email and tags are matched automatically and duplicates are merged rather than added twice. Then connect the channels you post to, and an email account if you plan to send campaigns. Import as many contacts as you like: the licence has no per-contact fee, and it all stays on your Mac.
